Hey there! My name is
Hello! I'm Sharon, a software engineering student at the Univeristy of Waterloo, and I'm passionate about creating meaningful data-driven applications. Most of my experiences come from building websites, although I have dabbled in some mobile programming. I'm currently learning about natural language processing (NLP) and cloud computing (e.g. AWS, GCP).
I fell in love with building software because I believe in technology's ability to develop creative solutions for the complex issues our society faces. I previously volunteered with the Coronavirus Visualization Team, a student organization founded at Harvard to fight the COVID-19 infodemic, to analyze the pandemic's impact on the aviation industry. Currently, I'm volunteering at Unitic, building a machine-learning based diagnostic tool for Tourette's Syndrome, and PuMP as a web developer.
Here are some of the technologies and languages I'm currently working with:
These are some of the projects I'm proud of.
A machine platform connecting remote communities with local health organizations to encourage donations of excess medical supplies through the use of Google Cloud APIs.
Here are my past projects.
I'm always interested in new opportunities and working with new people. Be it a quick chat or asking questions you have, feel free to reach out.
Oh! And I'm also active on:
